Ayan Mukerji spoke to us about the edits he made for Brahmastra’s OTT release.
Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva has been released on Disney+ Hotstar after receiving massive success at the box office.
Ayan Mukerji, the director, revealed more about the changes he and his team made to Brahmastra while reviews were still coming in.
During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ayan Mukerji explained why he made the changes and how they would improve the viewer experience.
In response to being complimented that he looked “slightly relaxed”, Ayan replied, “Am I? Yet he agreed and explained that he had “a little bit of time” after Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s releases.
Mukerji elaborated, recalling that after his first two films, Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, he felt “free”.
“After Brahmastra, we worked on the digital release,” Ayan explained.
The cinema release was missing a few bits that were cleaned up by Pritam Dada.
It has been a team effort up until this point to continue working on the film.” Ayan also expressed his hope that his holiday would begin after the OTT release.
According to the 39-year-old director, the film was changed for OTT release.
In the film, Mukerji was contacted about Alia’s love graph.
Despite admitting that the cinematic edit was sharp and did not capture actors’ expressions, the new edits make the graph more smooth.
